About Me
I've been working in the Flash and Web Development field for over 10 years. I started using Flash at version 3, and was completely blown away at what it could do. I graduated from Syracuse University with a BFA in 2000, where I studied Computer Graphics. This major encompassed a wide-array of fields, from programming C++ using the OpenGL library, to 3d Animation with Lightwave 3D, Macromedia Director, and of course the Adobe tools.
After graduation I was employed by a small creative company called wedu. I was dubbed as 'The Flash guy', where I worked on a variety of Flash based website, animations, intros, presentations, and applications. I also helped out with HTML production, and used my 3D skills for a few projects. I got my first taste of game development at wedu, where we developed a game for a holiday card. Called Toboggan Jump, we released it on the holiday season in 2001. The game consisted of having characters in a toboggan jump through a ring, often with hilarious results. The game went viral, amassing millions of plays in a few months. It was featured in the Communication Arts Interactive Annual, under the Self Promotion category.
In 2004, I joined octo studios, a creative shop in Manchester NH. Part of a two-person team, I added PHP/MySQL development to my set of skills, along with a greater use of CSS for HTML-based websites. At this firm I have created Flash presentations, web applications, logo and website designs, and a multitude of websites. We developed many sites using the Joomla content management system, which we have developed custom work for as well. We continue to create a myriad array of work for our clients.
